Adopt Xander

Xander is currently thriving in his foster home, where he has been living alongside cats, and even chickens. He enjoys canine company and would certainly benefit from sharing his home with a friendly, well adjusted dog who can be a positive role model and playmate. However, this is not essential, and Xander would also be happy as the only dog in the home, provided he receives plenty of companionship, enrichment, and opportunities to socialise.

When it comes to cats, Xander means no harm but can sometimes forget his manners and become a little too enthusiastic in his attempts to play. For this reason, any resident cats would need to be confident and dog savvy, and introductions should be managed appropriately. He has also shown that he can coexist with chickens when given suitable supervision and guidance.

Like any young giant breed puppy, Xander is still learning about the world around him and will need adopters who are committed to continuing his training and socialisation. He is a bright, eager youngster who responds well to positive reinforcement and would greatly benefit from attending reward based training classes to help him develop into a confident, well mannered adult.
