The reigning Miss World, Opal Suchata, accompanied by Miss UK, Millie-Mae Adams, spent last Sunday’s morning at our rescue centre meeting several of our dogs who are waiting for their forever homes. 

During her visit, Opal encouraged people to choose adoption over buying pets, emphasising that rescue dogs are not broken, but resilient, loyal, and full of love.

“Buying dogs fuels demand while thousands sit in shelters waiting to be seen. As someone who shares my home with several rescued dogs and cats, I know the joy and unconditional love they bring. If you’re thinking about adding a new member to your family, please consider adoption; you might just find your best friend waiting for you.
