Buddy and Tilda Children's Book Author Catherine known as Cats Clawson recently published her first children's book ‘Buddy & Tilda’ which aims to promote positive dog and child interactions, whilst raising funds for the dogs here at Hope Rescue and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Cats has worked in the NHS for over 15 years and is currently the manager of a children’s surgery network helping clinical colleagues make improvements to children’s surgery across a large region from Gloucestershire to Cornwall. In Cat's spare time she loves playing games with her extended family. Tilda, the character in the book, is inspired by one of my wonderful nieces who really really loves dog Buddy. Cat's reason for publishing the book comes from the heart "The idea of publishing a children’s picture book to promote positive and safe dog and child interactions has been bumping around in my head for quite a while. My own personal journey of owning a large lively mixed breed dog with an extended family who aren’t familiar with dogs has played a large part in how the book developed" Proceeds from the book will be split between the two charities, with 62p per sale supporting vulnerable dogs and owners, here in South Wales.
